Lily Qi is a speaker, trainer and advisor on Asian Americans, immigrant integration, language access, community engagement, and institutional cultural competency. She is the Vice Chair of Maryland Governor’s Commission on Asian American Affairs and currently works as Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett’s Special Projects Manager overseeing public-private partnership projects on innovation-based economic development.
As an adult immigrant, Lily chose an unconventional career and life path that has given her unique perspectives and a fresh voice for the fast-growing Asian American communities in the national capital region.
A communication and public affairs professional, Lily has broad experience in economic development, community engagement, public communication, public-private partnerships, and institutional cultural competency. She was the spokesperson on financial regulatory issues for DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking and served as Vice President of Business Development for Washington, DC Economic Partnership promoting the capital city to attract and retain businesses.
